ABOUT FRECKLES DOG DRYING COATS
Freckles Designs make four different styles of Drying Coat to suit you and your dog's needs and your budget - The Lomond, The Tay, The Ness and The Gartmorn - and they are available in a variety of colours.
The Lomond Dog Drying Coat is my entry level drying coat. It is a simple classic shape with a velcro fastening at the neck and at the waist for quick removal and easy adjustment. This coat is good for dog's that do like anything going over their head. Please note that this coat does not cover the chest/underbelly area.
SHOP LOMOND DRYING COAT
The Tay Dog Drying Coat is my mid-range drying coat. It slips over your dog’s head and has an underbelly strap to cover the chest and belly. There is no manipulating of the legs through legholes as the underbelly strap is simply passed between your dog's front legs and then the strap wraps and fastens around your dog’s waist. The underbelly strap dries the chest and front of the belly area and provides extra drying and warmth to the core of the body.
SHOP TAY DRYING COAT
The Ness Dog Drying Coat provides the greatest coverage. As well as the underbelly strap, it also a microfibre lined polo neck and a back shaping which encloses round the rear of the dog for the ultimate coverage. The extra back shaping is great for older dogs that require coverage of their hips. The back shaping fastens together with a buckle which can be undone if required.
SHOP NESS DRYING COAT
If you would like a slightly different look you can opt for the Gartmorn drying coat which is available in two colours - Pebble or Truffle, and has the option of a polo neck or collar. The outer is made from upholstery grade fabric which isn't as warm as the fleece outer of the other styles of drying coats and so will dry your dog slightly slower.
Why choose a Freckles Drying Coat
Drying Coats are fantastic for warming and drying your dog. They are great for putting on your dog after a walk in the rain, a swim in the sea or after a bath. Drying Coats also help protect your walls and furniture from wet/dirty splashes and soggy patches. Towel drying your dog can also mat your dog's fur, so using a drying coat instead to draw the moisture from your dog's coat can help ease grooming woes.
Freckles Drying Coats are made with a microfibre towel lining and have a warm polar fleece outer. The inner layer is high quality microfibre towelling manufactured in Italy. Microfibre towelling is much more absorbent than cotton towelling which some drying coats are made of. In fact microfibre towelling absorbs up to 8 times more water than standard cotton towelling which means that your dog dries much quicker. The wedge shaped cross section threads have more than 40 times surface area compared to normal towelling fibres and so these can hold more water and also trap dust and dirt more effectively than traditional towelling.
The polar fleece outer helps your dog to warm up quickly and as Freckles Drying Coat fit snug on your dog for maximum contact with the fur, this ensures that moisture is absorbed quickly, and as the water is drawn from your dogs fur they warm up a lot quicker too. The quicker your dog warms up, the quicker the evaporation process, which means that rather than being left with a soggy towel, you have a nice warm and toasty dog and a dry drying coat ready to use the next time.
