COVID-19 Update

UPDATE 29/04/2020
With the Scottish Government recommending in their briefing on 28th April that people should wear face coverings when in enclosed spaces to help prevent the spread of the virus I have added facemasks to the website. 

I am also continuing to process orders as they come in and you should allow a week for orders to be made and posted to you. The Royal Mail is under continues pressure however so please be patient with their delivery times.


UPDATE 25/03/2020
Hi guys, I'm still here, busy sewing away. The latest government guidance issued today states that 'online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery service will run as normal' but obviously only if social distancing rules can be observed. So I will continue to keeping working from my sewing room at home, but I will limit the number of times I leave the house to go to the Post Office to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as the number of orders have dropped but that's to be expected in these unsettling times - it might actually give me time to build up some stock again! The post office is 1.5miles down the road so only a short drive, the girls in the Post Office sit behind a glass screen and to be quite frank they appear to be bored stupid as it is quite rightly like a ghost town so welcome a brief visit!

UPDATE 24/03/2020
Following the government announcement last night regarding the further restrictions, as an online retailer I will continue to process orders as and when they come in. The Post Offices are currently still allowed to open and I use a business mail service where I print my own postage and hand an enclosed mail bag over to staff and so contact is very brief and minimal. So while you wish to continue ordering, and the Post Office/Royal Mail are still processing I will carry on sewing.

UPDATE 18/03/2020
It's currently business as usual for Freckles Designs. I am a sole trader who works alone in my workshop and so am used to working alone for hours on end and I am obviously following guidance regarding social distancing and hygiene practices. I do not currently have any supplier issues and have lots of fabric and supplies in stock

All items posted to UK addresses are delivered by Royal Mail who are observing social distancing practices where possible and good hygiene protocols. European/Worldwide orders are handled by your respective national service providers who I'm sure will have updates on their websites regarding their current delivery procedures.

Remember, if you are able to get out, that there's lots of countryside out there so there's plenty of space to get outside and go for nice long walks with your dogs while conforming with social distancing guidance of course, breathe in the fresh air, keep your sanity, and of course, don't forget to take your Freckles Drying Coats to pop on after your walk !
